Time graph for Denise Austin's Ten 5-Minute Target Toners
The ten precision-focused segments let you accurately target your personal “trouble spots” (e.g. there are four separate upper-body sections: chest, arms, back and shoulders). It’s easy — the DVD lets you play any segment in any order, or choose one of the pre-programmed 10 to 60-minute premixes (each five-minute section is carefully designed to smoothly transition from one to the next). Denise optimizes results with “supersets” — working each muscle group to the max with a fast-changing medley of proven exercises. As usual, Denise is totally motivating — she’s non-technical, bubbly and always positive (“this is sure to flatten your tummy,” “you’re looking great!”). Requires 3 to 5 lb. dumbbells. ©2007. DVD has: 3 premixes (11 to 31-min. alternate workouts), Programmable chapters, Region 1.

Denise Austin's Ten 5-Minute Target Toners

Just okay
I hadn't worked out with a Denise Austin video in a while so thought I'd give it another try. Still not a fan! Her voice is too annoying and she rushes through some of the moves. If you can get past the voice, it's not a bad workout video. - posted by Susan on 10/23/2008
Terrific Workout!
I workout regularly and am fairly advanced. I normally don't do Denise Austin dvds because they are too easy, but I thought this was fantastic! I used 8 lb. weights and did a few extra reps while she was talking/explaining, but really felt it. This was a terrific workout and easy to do because of the breakdown of sections...you can do all when you have time, or upper body only, etc. Very flexible and worthwhile. - posted by Shelley on 10/20/2008
Not too sure
I'll admit I'm not the biggest Denise Austin fan, but decided to give her a try again after many years. Well, not only does she still annoy me (tippy toes? let me see your smiling face?), but this work out is not worth the money, in my opinion. The moves were too fast and in between moves were too fast. By the time you get set up for one move, she's already moved on to something else. I haven't worked out with weights in awhile, but I've done this DVD three days in a row and I feel no soreness at all, not even a little bit. If you want to rush through things and have it be over before you know it, then this is the DVD for you. For me, I've wasted money. - posted by Ruth on 9/12/2008
Good workout!
I liked the little twists she put on traditional exercises. It made the workout more interesting and effective. I also like the variety of ways to use this dvd. I can do as much as I like for more of a total body workout, or just an upper body workout, or add a section each day when I finish cardio. I love it! - posted by Sandra on 4/20/2008
Good
I liked the workouts, but I did not like the warm up, i did not feel my heart rate up. But the work outs are good, - posted by anabel on 4/16/2008
10 five minute target toners
I love love love this dvd. I am not a big fan of excercise but this dvd is awesome. I am hooked on it. Denise is the best she really keeps me motivated. This dvd really works.I have noticed a big difference in my body in just 2 weeks.I usually pick different zones everyday, and the 15 minutes goes by so fast. I have purchased many dvds and equipment in the past and this is the best dvd ever, I will not need any other dvds. I reccomend it highly. - posted by Kathy on 4/3/2008
The five minute segments are great
I havent worked out in a while and this video is great. The menu lets you choose what areas you want to work. Small hand weight are ideal. You can add more weight too if the exercises are too easy. I didnt feel much of a burn at first but I did feel it the next day. I started out with two pound weights and now I use five and sometimes ten pounds. People don't seem to like her optimism but I love it. She keeps you going and focusing on your work out. I like her telling me, "You can do it". She doesnt give you enough time to get bored. Every 5 minutes she switches it up. Its a great one to start with. I recommend it 100% - posted by Maria on 3/1/2008
Loved it!
Before you know it, you're done. One minute I was thinking, OH MY GOSH MY ARM MUSCLES ARE GOING RUBBERY!! The next minute I was done, and on to a different muscle group. You can set the DVD to play any combination of the 5-minute workouts. Tonight I chose 4 work-outs, and 20 minutes FLEW by. Gotta love Denise. - posted by Susan on 1/25/2008
Denise Rocks!!
i like the way she works only 5 minutes with each body part, and you can really feel the burn in some of the body parts....only thing i hate is between the 10 exercises there is a 10 second gap till the next segment comes on, wish all 10exercises could be combined at a quicker pace. Heck, i guess its good if you like a lil' breather in btwn the 10 exercises. good workout, highly recommend. - posted by Kimber on 1/15/2008
I really like this workout!
I consider myself to be an intermediate to advanced exerciser. I know Denise can be annoying at times, but I have to say that I really liked this workout! I paused it if I had to change weights. I found the time went very fast, and I was sore the next day. - posted by Annemarie on 11/5/2007

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
