Time graph for Gilad's Total Body Sculpt (9 Workouts on 3 DVDs)
Nine complete total-body workouts on three DVDs. Now you can work out with Gilad on your schedule, choosing the programs that focus on your daily preference (each workout is a little different — more abwork in one, more lower-body-focused in another). They all feature a non-stop medley of no-nonsense, body-sculpting classics — sometimes isolating individual body areas, sometimes toning multiple muscle groups at once. The routines range from squats and lunges to bicep curls and French presses to ab crunches and planks. The sunny Hawaiian location combined with Gilad’s bootcamp-style cuing is both energizing and motivating. Intermediate level. Requires two sets of dumbbells; a medicine ball is optional. Note: these programs were originally produced for Gilad's TV program. ©2006. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Gilad's Total Body Sculpt (9 Workouts on 3 DVDs)

Good but incomplete
Total body sculpt is a 3 volume set. Volume 1 is a 30 minute segment with commericals cut out from the FitTV channel. The exercises at the end of each segment are cut short and you can either quickly do them on your own (as you do not have the commercial time to do this) or stop the exercise on the other side of the body in order to continue with the DVD. While the exercises are very good, I am disappointed that not only is this not an original exercise DVD but even the TV show version is incomplete. - posted by Shula on 3/26/2008
Great All Around Workout
I have been using Gilad videos for over 15years. Today at 52years I can run one mile, do 30 full body knuckle pushups and climb a 20story building. I give Gilads approach to exercise all the credit. He makes me push myself in ways I would never do on my own. I have recently purchased the Fit TV 3-Volume series through Collage. Having nine 23-minute options is great. As earlier stated these are former TV shows and one does get cut off during commercial breaks but knowing ahead of time I only wanted a 23 minute workout its okay. On weeknights I do one and on weekends I do the entire Video of 3 workouts. Once one gets familiar with the sequence, one can work around the commercial break parts. Example, if I know its biceps I continue another 3 or 4 reps while Gilad is explaining the next move. If hes doing one side, I alternate both so when cut off, I got some work done on each. You make it work. I recommend anything Gilad by Collage Video a good team. Now get that body in motion! - posted by Dave on 2/9/2008
Too Short
After using other Gilad exercise videos, I was very disappointed with the interruptions. Apparently these DVDs were made from his TV program. Gilad has great exercise dvds very motivating and great results, but leaves you hanging before the exercise is finished. His TV program on Discovery/Health also has too many commercials. I wish he had made the workout routine strictly for DVD, not taken from his recorded program. But, he is one of the best instructors. - posted by Cheryl on 1/31/2008
Short but Sweat!!
I am a little disappointed with these dvds. I love Gilad and his other dvds but these are too chopped up by the commercial blackouts..you do one arm/leg and then never finish the other side. To me, this is very annoying!! On the other hand, I can fit one segment in while waiting to take the kids to school or doing laundry..this is good!!! Each show begins with a good warmup and some favorites from previous shows (lower body, arm, abs). There are alot of newer moves blended in. I like this as a warmup or post workout dvd. You get alot done in a short time. - posted by Holly on 9/21/2007
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.
sample time graph
Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
