Jari Love's Get Ripped! to the Core |
Didn't do it for me |
| Somehow I found this one boring--it seemed like it was very repetitive and you were just doing the same move over and over again. It's not that different from Ripped & Chiseled, which I love and do all the time, but I found myself counting the minutes until it was over. Also the claims of # of calories burned per rep seemed totally spurious to me. Maybe I'm just not doing it right, but I can't believe I'm burning the calories they claim! I don't think I'll keep this one. - posted by Judi on 10/24/2008 |

Love it, love it, love it! |
| I did this workout earlier this evening and I cannot believe it is 61 minutes long. The time just flew by! Normally I don't like doing workouts that are this long because after awhile the time starts to drag and I'm wishing it were over. But not with this one. Jari takes you section by section, 5 minutes on something, and then you move on to something else. You work every part of of your body by the time it is over and it is the best 61 minutes you could spend on your body. I am a big Firm fan (especially the older ones) and I am so surprised with how much I like Jari Love workouts. But I do, and I HIGHLY recommend them! - posted by Robin on 9/2/2008 |

    Gotta love it:) |
| I have just reccently bought five Get Ripped Videos. I have only worked out to this one and Slim and Lean. I really really enjoy these compound exercies. I have been using The Firm Total TransFIRMation for about seven months now. I got no where near the workout I did with these videos. I may have not sweated a bunch but my muscels shook like no other. Im trying to get definintion, and I haven't seen anything with the Firm's videos, however my husband can already see a difference with these videos and I just started them 2 weeks ago!:) I LOVE IT!:) - posted by Char on 8/5/2008 |

    GR8 video |
| I am either in the int-adv or advance level, but this workout makes me sweat anyway. I love how it provides different variation so I can find the right position for me to work out in. The cueing is so clear and easy to follow. After doing a lot of Firm workouts, I have a new favorite. I recomend it to anyone who wants to get in shape. - posted by A fitness fan on 7/1/2008 |

    Sorry I Didn't Try Jari Sooner |
| Now that I can move again I should kick myself for not doing Jari's workouts sooner. I started with her first one and then tried RTTC shortly afterwards. My muscles were quite sore for a couple of days after my first time, but I felt great. I've done the FIRM and Cathe for some time and really enjoy both, but I wanted to try something different and I was intriqued by the "body pump" like concept. I could really feel the difference right away in my muscles during the workout. Even though the breaks between exercises are a little long, it gives me a chance to stretch, grab a sip of water and get ready for the next exercise. I like how Jari explains and demonstrates proper form and lets you know how you should modify for certain restrictions like a shoulder injury. Excellent workout and a great addition to my rotation. - posted by Pamela on 6/26/2008 |

    Loved this workout! |
| Love the combo exercises (working several muscle groups at the same time) – less work, more calories/carbohydrates burned! Love the explanation of why the exercises work – served as a motivator to keep going. Loved the variations by each of her instructors – when (not if) I got too fatigued, I could look at how to modify the workout. Loved the demo – served as a brief resting period and got a chance to see the correct form. I just worked out to this video for the first time today. Wow! I was amazed at how much I sweat doing this video. My only negative point is that the angle of the camera doesn’t always show how she does the moves. During the isometric seg, the camera stayed on the gentleman who was doing the hardest move almost the entire time. I just started the video today; I can’t work at his pace! Despite that one negative point, the moves are pretty easy to grasp. Although I am just three weeks into my new fitness routine, I love to work out with free weights. I definitely recommend this video. I know I will see results from this workout and will rate it again after more useage and when I start seeing results. Best to all! By the way, thank you Collage Video for your super quick delivery. I just ordered this on Thursday or Friday of last week and I received it today! I will definitely order more! - posted by Donna on 6/25/2008 |

    Whoooooaaaa |
| I am a beginner in the late twenties. I got this dvd a month ago and i am trying to do it 3 times a week. I like Jari because she is straight to the point, this is a no nonsense workout trust me the lady doesnt waste yr time, you start working out as soon as you hit play (no dithering around waiting for her to start). It is not hard to follow what she is doing, she sets a good pace and cues you in on time. I also like the different modifications (advanced and easy), also before each segment starts theres an explanation of what it is and a demonstration this gives me time to catch my breath and drink some water. The dvd is about 1hr which leaves me panting like a trapped whale !! i can tell i am getting a good workout coz i am sore the next day. You are supposed to have a step bench for some of the exercises but its ok if you dont (i dont) because she modifies them for people who dont have one. I highly recomend this dvd, i have tried others and really didnt feel like i was getting much of a workout. - posted by Makena on 6/3/2008 |

    Not my favorite Jari |
| I love SLim & Lean and the original Get Ripped so I figured to give this a try. Ripped to the Core has a lot of compound (aka multi-joint) exercises. I enjoy compound exercises, but these didn't flow well and seemed awkward at times. Also, Jari kept mentioning how many calories you're burning but according to my heart trate monitor I don't burn more than I do with Slim & Lean. I actually burn a quite a bit more calories with the FIRM's intermediate Hi Def Sculpt (also mostly compound moves)than with Ripped to the Core. I plan on selling this one and getting Ripped & Chiseled. I still highly recommend Jari's other workouts -- she is a fantastic instructor. - posted by hiphipshake on 5/3/2008 |

My favorite of the Get Ripped series |
| I am in the process of losing weight and am also doing triathlon training and I love to incorporate the Get Ripped DVDs into my fitness routine. Get Ripped! to the Core is my favorite of the series. I love these compound exercises! It is such an efficient workout as you are constantly working both lower and upper body. It thoroughly works every muscle group and doesn't waste any time or effort. This video is well-cued and they give time between each exercise to set up and prepare for what is coming up. - posted by Erin on 4/13/2008 |
