Petra Kolber's Step Moves, New Grooves |
    Terrific Workout |
| I have had this DVD for over a month now and even though I have been with Collage for over 5 years this is only the second time I have written a comment. I just wanted to say I love this workout. It is a solid and fun to do step DVD and Petra is one of the best when it comes to cueing. I do think you need to know the step basics to get the most from this workout but I have to disagree with the last review posted when it came to comments on Petra's cueing. Got to say I could easily follow this workout with there only being one time that I needed to do a "pause and rewind" I hope Petra continues to create new step routines for many years to come. - posted by Lindsay on 6/20/2008 |

Am I the only one who gave up? |
| I've been doing step for years, off and on. Admittedly I would never consider myself a dancer or a really advanced stepper - but I certainly don't consider myself a beginner, ether. So many people gave this dvd high marks that I thought it would be doable. I've done Cathe, Kari Anderson's more advanced step, the Firm, Charlene, all with no problems. I couldn't get a workout with this one because the steps came at you so fast, changed so quickly, and gave no instructions, really. I suspect that if you are a really advanced dance/stepper you would find Petra to be a good cuer, but without more instruction this one was useless for me. I'll be trying to sell this one asap! Sorry! - posted by Christy on 6/17/2008 |

    Not Advanced |
| If you do Cathe steps, don't do this one. I really like tapes better that cover like three sections and put them together and move on. This goes over and over. She is VERY good at cueing, you will have no trouble there, just listen to her. I don't see any new moves or grooves, they are in her other step tape. I would say anyone would be able to do this tape, beginner might take some time, but would bore after the second time for anyone else. She is a cute instructor, but as far as it being a work out, I was just waiting for it to be finished. I am 57, do alot of Cathe's steps and want to get a work out if that is what I am going to be doing for the next hour. Wanna sweat, not just relax through a routine. Sorry didn't do it for me. - posted by Bon_46 on 6/17/2008 |

Stepping smart with a lot of fun moves |
| This is the first time I have purchased a step workout from Petra as I am more of a dance lover. After loving 3,2,1 Dance I thought I would give this a try. I am SO GLAD I did. You do not have to have a step degree to figure out the moves so I could get a great workout and have fun without feeling lost. I used to love step but it just got soooo complicated. This is a terrific workout for anyone who loves step but who does not want to have to rewind all the time. I may be dusting off my step full time after doing this DVD. HIGHLY recommended. - posted by Sara on 6/15/2008 |

    NOT Advanced! |
| This DVD would be a good one for intermediate steppers who want to work toward mastering more complex choreography. Petra is encouraging, engaging, and a master at breaking complex combos down into do-able pieces. As an advanced stepper who loves complexity, I know that if I "get" the whole workout the first time through I will be bored the second time - so this one is going back. For a truly complex, advanced workout, I HIGHLY recommend CIA 2803, Deirdre Morris' "Tap Less, Step More." This one is awesome. - posted by Nancy on 6/10/2008 |

    Go Petra |
| This is a great workout for one of those days when you are worn out and cant think straight. It is simple, easy to follow and just good fun! It is possibly a little short for advanced exercisers, but i just put my step up. Petra herself is just lovely, she has a really warm personality and her cueing is excellent. And does she have an english accent or am i
imagining things? Anyhow buy this and enjoy. - posted by Ann-Marie on 3/21/2008 |

    Great solid step Workout |
| I loved this step workout. Just the right amount of choreography to get me thinking and help the time fly by. I liked the balance between choreography and keeping my heart rate up as sometimes I find that step workouts can be so complex that I just get frustrated. I think this workout gives the perfect mix. I do have to admit I am a long long time fan of Petra and this is another solid workout to put in my collection. - posted by Carole on 3/19/2008 |

    Pretty Good |
| This is my first Petra video and it was good, but not great. Her queueing is very good, but I think she spends too much time telling the viewer what she is going to do. I feel there are too many hamstring curls while she is talking about what is next. I just want to see and do the moves. Since it's a video, step combinations don't need to be broken down so much. I don't need to be re taught every time I view the video. The music is a little different, but I like it. I've been stepping for 17 years and really like the challenging, fast moving, complex step videos that don't break everything down so much (like Christie Taylor). I didn't sweat that much, but overall the moves are interesting. I would like her to keep going with new moves instead of going back to the hamstring curls all the time. - posted by Michele on 3/17/2008 |

    Love it now! |
| At first I had a lot of trouble picking this up but I have been breaking it down and doing it step by step. Now I think I have it and love it. Petra is fantastic! Enthusiastic and always lots of fun! - posted by Meg on 3/12/2008 |

    Made me smile |
| I actually caught myself smiling while I did this workout. It really made me sweat, but was a lot of fun. Just when I thought I had the moves down, Petra threw a new one at me. The moves are just right, I think. Just complicated enough to keep it interesting, but not so hard as to be discouraging. I can't wait to do it again. - posted by Patty on 2/7/2008 |
