Time graph for Prevention: Fight Cellulite Fast!
Multiple level/multiple-impact cardio intervals plus butt-and-thigh-focused toning. The constantly changing moves will maximize both motivation and effectiveness. The never-dancy aerobics are very well-structured — a series of six-minute intervals that progressively build in intensity. For even more variety, you also get intensity variations within each interval — low impact, then mixed, and finally a higher-impact burst (e.g. a march becomes a jog that then becomes a plyo-hop). That’s followed by the toning segment — a no-nonsense sequence of classic body-sculpting routines. It’s led by the always friendly and supportive Chris Freytag. Requires 2 to 5 lb. dumbbells. ©2007. DVD has: Chapter menus, Music only option, Region 1.

Prevention: Fight Cellulite Fast!

Janet L.
I absolutely enjoyed this workout! It's intense, fun and effective! This is a solid intermediate level workout but it's easy to make the moves more intense or less intense. Time flies by while doing this workout and it's a regular staple in my workout routine! It's really worth the purchase! - posted by Fun and Intense Workout! on 10/18/2008
Great Cardio
I don't use the weight section but love the cardio! It does the job with fun intervals and recovery and since there is really no taking it from the top the time just flies by! Chris is a great instructor, friendly and supportive. Highly recommend this workout! - posted by Elaine on 10/16/2008
LOVE this workout!
I'm an intermediate-advanced exerciser and I found this to be an excellent workout. The different circuits along with the great variety in moves really makes the time just fly by. You work up a real sweat -- definitely get your money's worth with this one -- highly recommend it! - posted by AB44 on 8/28/2008
I love this workout!
I have done this workout several times. Chris Freytag is an enthusiastic, motivating instructor with great cuing. The warm-up is quick yet gets you moving and the six intervals with three levels each make for an excellent cardio workout. I have had to take a break in between the cardio portion and the lower body strength and cooldown but it is definitely doable. I burned 400 calories just doing the cardio this morning! This is a keeper! - posted by Hildee on 8/27/2008
Good workout
I'm a int/adv exerciser and I find that a good way to get through this dvd is to do the first three segments at full blast (do level 2 for the entire length of each one) and then stop, do the (extremely challenging) leg toning for 15 mins and then go back and finish up the remaining 3 cardio segments. True, it's not exactly a breeze to program it this way (I just fast forward manually from the beginning to get to the last three sets after I do the toning segment) but it's better than doing the cardio all at once in my opinion. - posted by Mary on 8/9/2008
Great Work
I love this video. I am a previously advanced exerciser who lapsed for some time and now needs to build back up. I ordered this video and a different step interval workout, but this works my heart more than the step interval workout. I used my heart rate monitor and burned about 500 calories. My heart was in the the high zone for most of the level threes (but not all). The only complaint I have is the arm movements. The exercises are difficult for me to do with the heavy weights, that I like to add for my lunges and squats. I just don't do the arm movements since I use this workout on my lower body days anyway but I hate not following the whole workout something in my brain just won't let me not do all the movements. I have over a hundred exercise videos and DVDs and I would have to say that this ranks up there in my top twenty favorites. Great workout! - posted by Heather on 7/31/2008
burns the calories!
I love this video. The first time I did it, several months ago, I thought I wouldn't make it through, but it was easier after that. I recently got a heart rate monitor watch, and I monitored my heart rate/calories the last time I did this. I'm 29 year old, 5 ft 3, 144 lbs, and I burned 478 calories in just the cardio portion alone. At one point my heart rate was above my target heart rate, so I had to tone down my intensity on the next section. I am a big fan of Chris Freytag, having started with her 3-2-1 workout. She's very easy to follow, and makes sure to remind you of proper form throughout the workout, like keeping your knees over your ankles in squats and lunges, and holding your abs in throughout the workout. I've been working out for a few years now, and always come back to my Prevention videos. This video is really great because of the break it down section. So many videos don't take the time to explain how to do moves properly, but this one does. - posted by Sharee on 7/14/2008
Love this workout!
I have not yet completed the entire workout, but so far I love the aerobics segment. Chris Freytag is an excellent instructor with great cueing and is very encouraging! This is a no nonsense workout that really gets the heart pumping! I will be doing the complete workout this week in my rotation, but am confident that the rest of the workout will not disappoint! - posted by Melanie on 6/8/2008
This is one of my favorites
I like this workout a lot - the design of the 2 minutes of lower intensity and then 2 minutes of higher intensity and then the big 1 minute free for all blast is a great template that keeps things interesting for the duration - I always feel like the first three segments are much slower than the last 3 and I can't figure out if it's psychological or what! I also like the fact that since I can anticipate the higher level I can just do the higher level all the time if I feel like getting a more intense workout. The toning segment kills me every time - all those lunges and squats are pretty intense and I'm someone who is used to int/adv. workouts so it surprises me that I am gasping for air halfway through. But I consider this a good thing! - posted by Amber on 6/7/2008
GREAT!
I am a 32 y/o intermediate exerciser and this one is a TRUE workout!! First the instructor has excellent cueing and is down to earth and motivating but not annoying. There is a low impact modification and you will still feel this in your rear the next day. I have weaker knees so it is a little tough on the knees (lot of lunges and suats)but is the only way you can see results. I just modify all the squats and don't go down very far and still get a great workout. My husband has even noticed that my rear is lifted and firmer doing this workout. The set is the same as all the prevention and does get old after awhile but the workout is soo solid that I don't mind much. OOh and BTW, the music is fun and really motivating unlike a lot of other DVD's out there. Ladies this is a keeper, you must purchase, don't even hesistate! - posted by denise persichino on 5/23/2008

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Chapter menus
X
You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Music only option
X
This feature allows you to play only the music, without any cuing (after you’ve learned the movements and you just want to do the workout without listening to the instruction).
Region 1
X
This DVD is designed for US and Canadian DVD players. It will NOT play in most foreign country players.
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Toning emphasis
X
Upper body: Arms, chest and back.

Lower Body: Legs, thighs, hips and buttocks.

Abs: Abdominals (stomach), core and sometimes lower back.

Total body: Tones all three of the above muscle groups.

Floor aerobics & toning
X
Definition: Includes two workout activities. The aerobics segments are fast-paced standing movements like marching, dancing and jumping. These segments require no equipment. The toning sections are slow, controlled movements working against a resistance. These may include Pilates and weight training.

Benefits: The combination of both activities provides a balanced workout. The aerobics burns calories, strengthens your heart and increases stamina. The toning builds lean muscles, increases your metabolism and makes everyday activities easier.
