Time graph for The Firm: Cardio Dance Fusion
An easy-to-follow blend of classic aerobics and simple dance. More like a party than a workout, this program is all about having fun. No dance background required — Alison Davis’ friendly, add-on cuing makes these eight-count moves totally do-able (while the “gotta move your feet” music keeps you motivated). Each 10-minute segment features a different music/dance style: club, Latin, jazz and modern. But it’s never “hardcore” dance; every section also includes a medley of familiar Firm-style classics (e.g. the Latin segment combines pliés, knee-lifts and box steps with sambas and mambos). DVD also has 25-minute premixed workout options featuring just one dance. ©2007. DVD has: 3 premixes (23 to 25-min. alternate workouts).

The Firm: Cardio Dance Fusion

Love IT!
This workout is so much fun and the music is so awesome, that i didn't realize how high my heart rate was until i stopped to get a drink of water half way through! Alison is her usual motivating beautiful self. This was just something totally new and fun! Don't get me wrong its not an easy workout by any means, it just is so enjoyable! I love the new firms I'm addicted to buying them! - posted by Dana on 11/13/2008
Good solid cardio only workout.
I like this DVD, it is a lot of fun! It moves fast, but the moves are not dancy. Anyone can learn and do the moves that she does, but my advice to everyone is to learn one dance at a time. There is a total of three different dances on this DVD. Each dance has it's own section and I have been learning just the first dance before I try to do the whole thing. This is a DVD that you have to do more than once to know if you like it or not. I think it is a good solid cardio workout. I will be doing this one again and again! - posted by Leslie on 11/10/2008
So fun!
This was my first "Firm" DVD and it got me hooked. Alison has a great personality and body and is very motivating. She also gives clear instruction and her cuing is right on. It took me awhile to nail all the moves but that's part of the fun. Exercise DVD's get boring once you can do them perfectly. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants something different than the usual cardio and/or enjoys dance. It really makes you sweat too. - posted by Laura on 10/23/2008
Excellent
I really liked this workout. The music was excellent. A few of the steps might take you a few tries to learn, but most of the steps I got on my first time through. The instructor cues well. This was an all-around solid, great cardio workout. - posted by Marianne on 9/27/2008
One of my "go to" videos
When I want a good cardio-only video this is one I often go to. I will say, the first couple of times I did have to pause and play the DVD in slow motion to get a couple of the moves (I have zero dance background), but once I got them down and did the video a few more times I could do the routines in my sleep! It's fun, but it's tough. Allison is also a great motivator - she's a lot of fun to watch and she does a great job of walking you through the moves. Her cueing is great, too, so you always know what's coming up. I'd definitely recommend this one. Plus, it's got three great express versions for when you're in a time crunch. I really can't think of anything bad to say on this one! - posted by Christi on 9/24/2008
Pure Fun!
This workout just makes you feel good! I borrowed it from the library and I have now ordered it from collage for myself. I exercise at least 6 days a week and would consider myself an advanced exerciser, but sometimes you just have to have fun when you sweat. Is it the most challenging? No, but who cares. I was actually smiling when I finished this workout. Enjoy!!! - posted by Jeanie on 9/22/2008
ONE OF THE BEST!
Bought this @ a local store and I have to say this is one of the best dance workouts I've done. Ok I've only done 2 others which were crunch fat dancing party and cardio slim down with Alli Del Rio points, those are great workouts too. But hard to dance with, but Alison's move are great not dancy. She does move fast in teaching the moves but I thinks that great becuz once you learn the moves it won't slow you down. I watched it once b4 doing it and that helped. If you're thinking of getting it you should. The other gals who gave up on it missed out! They should of gave themselves more time to learn the moves. And plus the music is great. I sweated buckets!!!!!!!! this is a good firm! - posted by Lani85 on 9/16/2008
this made me sweat...
I did this workout for the first time today and I did indeed sweat. However, I didn't feel I raised my heartrate up enough to feel that I had a good workout. Further, I agree with everyone else that I wish I could see Alison's feet so that I am able to mimmick her. Also, I wish that there was advanced cueing prior to the move so that I'm ready for the next move and not lost in the shuffle. All in all -- I love this workout so far ... but am hoping that it will raise my heartrate for the future workouts. =) - posted by lovey on 9/6/2008
The Perfect Workout!!!!
I highly recommend this workout to anyone who wants to have fun. The steps are not complex. Alison's cueing is flawless. The music matched the moves. The moves tone your abs. All while buring calories!!! I've been a "Firm Believer" and love it even more! If you are not a "Firm Believer", you will be after doing this workout. It is so much fun, you don't realize you are exercising! I have never had so much fun working out!! Try it!! - posted by Emily on 9/2/2008
Really tried to like this!
I have done this one several times, and although I usually like the Firm, especially Allison, this one is NOT a DVD I like doing. I agree with others, that it starts out too fast and is very repetitive. - posted by Lee on 8/28/2008

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

These are alternate workouts created by the manufacturer. They use the same content as the main program (i.e. the very same video footage). But the sections are re-edited into pre-made alternative workouts that you select from a menu. These are often condensed versions of the main workout.
