Time graph for Tracey Staehle's Parts Series
Three solid body sculpting workouts that feature a huge variety of moves, positions and equipment types. Tracey maximizes results by carefully matching the rep count to each exercise (e.g. 60 reps on an easier series, only 10 reps on a harder one). The angles, tempos, weight levels and set counts are also structured to get the most from each routine. For even more variety, Tracey intermixes both isolated and compound exercises, often including a core/balance element. The first workout is upper-body focused; the second targets your glutes. The third, total-body segment, is much easier — it includes both Pilates and yoga. Has shorter premixed workout options. Requires dumbbells, a resistance band and a step. A Bosu and medicine ball are optional. ©2007. DVD has: 4 premixes (10 to 53-min. alternate workouts), Chapter menus, Wide screen.

Tracey Staehle's Parts Series

Seeing definition and muscles
I can see that the reviews are mixed on this, but I've seen great definition and results from doing this dvd. I'm one of those people that really has to work to see any definition in their muscles and let me tell you strangers have commented on my defined arms. It has no dread factor for me at all. I have gotten great results in the past with Cathe but a lot of her dvd's have a big dread factor for me and I have no patience for a lot of equipment changes etc. I have extremely limited space and The Parts workout is very space friendly. I love that I can do the upper and lower on the same day or split it if I wish. I haven't done any of the pre-mixes so I can't comment on them. All in all this has been a winner for me. - posted by Carolyn on 10/23/2008
great 2 day split
I love this DVD because there is no dread factor. It's still tough and effective but it's not endless and doesn't leave me wiped out. I use this as a 2 day split and then I 'll do a total body workout on the third day. The total body workout on this is nice but I use it more for light days. Very worthwhile purchase. - posted by sneakers on 10/5/2008
Not impressed
I didn't appreciate the way Tracey kept going on about how hard she was working and how it hurt her to keep going - that's NOT what you want to hear when you are working out! I also thought the workouts used too much equipment, and didn't always use it effectively. - posted by Elena on 7/27/2008
Wonderful
I love this video. Great workouts and I love the glute camp. You will feel it. I was sore the next day with the glute camp and I workout to Cathe and Jari all the time. I was pretty impress with Tracy. Totally recommend this to anyone. - posted by Laci on 7/13/2008
Repurchase? You Better Believe It!
I've had this workout since it first came out, and I love it. Glute Camp is my all-time favorite lower body workout, and by itself, it's well worth the price of this DVD even if you never use any of the other work. I'd strongly encourage you to do it all, though. There's some great premixes on this DVD, and I love Tracey's emphasis on functional training which works the core while working the other muscles. We probably all check out a new instructor's body and see some feature that we'd like to have, LOL! When I first saw Tracey, I was awed by her tiny waist. I laughed, thinking that was one thing I'd never have- although very fit, I'm a mesomorph, and although I'm fit and have flat and firm abs, I was resigned to having a waistline that was a little wider than I would have liked. Well, let me tell you, functional training really works! 2 months ago, I completed a 6 week rotation using Traceys' Sculpt Sweatfest, Core Strength and Conditioning, and the Parts work, along with 3 kickboxing workouts a week. At the end of that 6 weeks I was stunned that I had lost just over an inch from my waist. I'm lean and have no fat to lose, this work with concentration on the form just seemed to pull everything in around my waistline. I've done tons of kickboxing which is supposed to whittle the waistline, traditional ab work, Pilates galore, and I've never had anything work like this, and it was completely unexpected. Well, 2 days ago I pulled out my Parts DVD, put it in the player, and it froze. I had somehow put a very deep scratch in it and it was completely unplayable. I was just sick, as I'm on a very tight budget right now and can't afford to replace it, but this is one I'm definitely repurchasing as soon as I have the money. Highly, highly, recommended. - posted by Linda on 7/2/2008
Loved it
I found this workout a non stop challenge. I loved the variation with the exercises, enjoyed all the premixes and found Tracy and her team to be fun and motivating. I enjoyed how they really used the music in the Glute Camp workout to drive the workout. My legs got quite a workout from this and I have been doing Cathe leg workouts for years. I was most impressed how Tracy interacted with her team and was joyful and personable - it was real, not rehearsed for the camera. The Upper Body workout was a wonderful twist on familiar moves and was a blast. My favorite short workout is total body. I loved seeing Tracy's team come forward and lead - that was cool! - posted by Brenda on 4/23/2008
Really? I didn't get the fever.
Based on all the super positive reviews, I had very high expectations. I do a lot of Jari Love videos, and I just don't think Tracy is AS motivating- I also didn't really feel the workout the next day. It also bothered me that she kept empasizing how hard she was working and how it hurt her to keep going- I didn't find it very inspiring, especially when I wasn't even close to fatigue. I think this video is just okay, and I'll try it again. . .but I really was a little disappointed as an adavanced exerciser. - posted by Alison on 4/19/2008
Love this one
I was pleasantly surprised by this DVD. The time goes by quickly on all 3 workouts and I feel challenged the whole way. Tracey is motivating and fun. I use a step bench (like two of background exercisers) since I don't own a Bosu and it works great. Great DVD, worth the price. - posted by fit2Btied on 4/4/2008
SUB- FUN FUN
I love this dvd. It is quick and dirty to the point I am so sore today. I use what Tracey uses in the video. I will be using this for all my UB w/o for the next few months. I love not alot of equipment changes.. Good job Tracey.... - posted by Deborah on 3/14/2008
My favorite
This is my most favorite strength workout of the year. Tracey showed me moves I would never think of doing on my own. The music is great, she is very camera friendly and makes the hard work seem fun. You can't beat the price for three great workouts. I will be using this every week with my Walking Strong DVD. - posted by Chrissey on 3/11/2008

Reading a Time Graph

Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
